Maybe you've had an idea for a while, or maybe you want to make more room in your life for creativity. Despite longing for it, it can be so hard to make the space to get started on our own. This is especially true for women - we hold so much for others and it can be easy to put the quiet whispers inside us last in line.
Alchemy Lab is an intimate, small group of women connecting to the wisdom within by tapping into the power of community. The circle is for lady creators of all stripes — from artists, writers, and musicians, to folks starting new side hustles or launching businesses. It’s not just for folks working on traditional “Art” with a capital A, but any creative woman who wants to be a little bit braver with support from community and a program that breaks things down step by step.

How it works
Live bi-weekly group gatherings
Every other week, we’ll gather for a guided session that includes writing exercises, inspiration prompts, and deeply connecting with each other.
Monthly 1:1 coaching sessions
Interspersed between our group meetings, you’ll have three private coaching sessions to help you dive deeper, tune into your inner wisdom, and work towards your goals.
The Alchemy Lab workbook
To help you go inward, you’ll be given a beautifully illustrated workbook with readings, journaling prompts, and reflection exercises.
Welcome gift package
When you join Alchemy Lab we’ll mail you a beautifully curated package to ignite your creative spark, feel fancy, and welcome you to the community.

I’m Alanna, and I'm a midwife for new ideas. I started Circle of Magic in 2017 because I was seeking an authentic community of women and craving accountability to help me make art again. My work has taken me across five continents. Among other adventures, I helped build the innovation lab inside AARP to uncover new solutions for aging. I've worked with nonprofits around the world on reproductive health. And I now work in the tech industry charting new ground in international markets for a software company. I'm a visual artist, strategist, and entrepreneur, and I believe that you should define your work rather than let it define you. With Alchemy Lab, I draw from my Bachelors of Fine Art in Sculpture as well as my MBA, straddling the worlds of business and creativity, woo-woo and get-her-done.
Super powers: Cooking vegetables in large quantities, foraging for wildflowers, and making anyone feel special, heard, and valued.

Hi, I’m Christie - a soulful type-A, who appreciates and cultivates beauty in its many forms - especially the beauty of breakthrough. For me, life’s richness is in connection. I offer a judgment-free space where you are seen, heard, valued and strengthened - to tune into your intuition, imagination, and desires - so that you can create something new and significant in your life and work. Coaching came to me on my own quest to remove personal barriers and live into my purpose (while working at a rapid-pace tech company). Three years later, I earned my ACC through the International Coaching Federation, after completing extensive training with the Hudson Institute of Coaching, and serving as an internal and external coach for corporations, non-profits and high potential leaders of all ages.
Super powers: Singing, spaghetti making, adventuring, un-cluttering, beautifying, party-themes, and seeing through to the heart.

Alchemy Lab runs for 3 months. We’re still figuring out when the next one might be!

Alchemy Lab is cozy and intimate because we think that’s where the magic happens. The group will be capped at no more than 12 women to foster a safe space and help encourage genuine connection. Keeping the group small helps us provide a lot of hands on, personalized support.

Where: All gatherings and coaching calls are held on Zoom, which means that women are able to join us from all over the country (or world!).

Yes, trust us. We intentionally foster a safe, nurturing, and intimate space. This is why we keep the program small. We’re often given the feedback that our virtual format surpasses expectations for what an online platform is capable of creating. There are different ways to connect with each other throughout the Alchemy Lab program: through our group circles, in our private chat space, and one one one with other participants when we pair you up. Alchemy Lab typically requires 2-3 hours a week, though of course the more you invest into it, the more you’ll get out.
Of that time, expect to spend 1 hour per week on either group gatherings or individual coaching calls, with the additional time focused on your individual reflection exercises and personal project.

Part of what makes Alchemy Lab unique is the sense of community we foster amongst the group, and this kind of deep connection takes time to form. Consistently showing up to our gatherings and participating in the community means the experience becomes stronger and more special over time.
By signing up for Alchemy Labs, we ask that you commit to attending the group circles and individual coaching calls, missing no more than one group circle over the course of the program. Of course, we know life happens, and sometimes unexpected things come up. If that happens, we’ll work with you directly to ensure you stay supported and plugged in.

The entire Alchemy Lab program costs $900 with our early bird rate and $1200 for the regular bird.

For scholarships: Alchemy Lab is all about creating a safe space for women to come together to be seen and supported, and having a diverse group of women from different walks of life is key to its power.
We recognize that the cost of Alchemy Lab is attainable to some and out of reach to others, especially those from marginalized backgrounds. We’re offering two 50% off scholarships to women of color or other underrepresented groups. If you’re a woman of color and cost is holding you back from joining us, fill out this form to apply for a scholarship.

Creative dreams meet practical action
Alchemy Lab is broken down into two-week units. Each unit will include a group circle facilitated by Alanna, a workbook chapter for your own personal reflection, and many will include a one on one coaching call with Christie. We’ll also be sprinkling in some fun surprises along the way, including weekly illustrated affirmations and inspiration prompts on our group chat to keep us all connected between gatherings. Each two-week unit, we’ll wind our way through themes on a spiritual and practical level, and have milestones and touch points throughout the journey. The entire program is virtual, so you can join from wherever you are.
In the true spirit of a lab, each person will also be working on their own personal project throughout the program based on their goals. The program will culminate in a very affirming and fun “Show and Tell Party” where each woman will show off the new thing she’s created. This means that everyone will walk away from the program with something tangible that is unique to them. It could be a new website for their emerging business, a poetry collection, an EP — the sky’s the limit.
